Jeffrey is the first born baby to his parents and they are so blessed to have a calm and easy going baby boy. He was a 9 pound handsome chunky baby at his newborn session. I will be seeing him again very soon at the 4 month session because he is enrolled in the one year plan called the Baby Bee Package. He will be photographed again at 4 months, 8 months sitter session, and the one year milestone / cake smash session.
We styled his session to be natural, organic, and rustic. The colors chosen were neutral browns, white, blues and grays to complement his nursery and house decor. We posed him in the wooden bowl with burlap, the vintage fishing minnow bucket and then some posed and natural posing on the beanbag. I begin every session with the parent (and siblings if applicable) poses so that the parents can relax and enjoy the remainder of the newborn session. We then photograph baby in the prop poses and finally the beanbag posing for those sweet sleepy baby poses. Parents are present the entire time I am working with baby to be involved in the newborn photography experience.
Below is an example of natural baby posing. He is actually posed here (I turned him towards the light and posed his legs for modesty) ... but his hands are left in the newborn fists... which is a sweet little trait found in newborn babies. It is timeless because of the cream colored backdrop and minimal props.
Sometimes during parent posing, Dad just cannot help but kiss Mamma. They are a new family with baby here.
