So... what is a typical four month session like here at Debby Ditta Photography? Look below! This is the shortest of all sessions at usually only 20-30 minutes (not like the 3-4 hour newborn session). Since the 4 month old can go from happy/smiley to grumpy/moody in a quick minute, I have to keep this session moving fast. This is not the session to have elaborate set-ups and props since baby is not in the mood and cannot sit at this age.
For simplicity, I bring baby back on the beanbag one more time while they are still little. Here, I aim to achieve the simple close-ups and playing with feet action. Sometimes if baby is happy with tummy time, then I'll get some cute poses on tummy.
Then I move onto 4 month old friendly props. Since most 4 month olds are not sitters yet, I photograph baby in a prop from above.
If your newborn was photographed by me, then I love to add some comparison collages to show how much has changed in the last 4 months. Isn't it amazing? My hair barely grows a half an inch and yet a baby completely changes in a matter of four months!
