William Newborn baby boy by Debby Ditta Photography of Tomball, Texas

Spring is the time for new life, butterflies, green grass, and flowers.  Also, it is the time for Easter babies. Little William made such a cute little bunny too.  His mother brought the sweet little rabbit hat for him to wear for his session.   We planned neutral colors for his session in creams and browns.

I brought out one of my favorite quilts and we had a little history lesson with it.  It is a quilt made from pieces of flour sacks.  These are not just any fabric flour sacks, but cut from pieces by the Pappy O'Daniel flour company...the past Texas Governor W. Lee O'Daniel . Also known for the phrase "pass the biscuits, Pappy".   This is a special quilt to us and happy to photograph two teachers' baby on a little piece of history.

Hudson Newborn Session by Debby Ditta Photography of Tomball, TX

There's been a string of newborn baby boys this month.  Hudson is #5 boy in a row for me.  And he is such a beautiful boy too.  I recently photographed his family for the maternity session and now he is finally here!  There's a reminder at the end of the post of how he looked as a little bun in the oven.

Newborn Superpowers!!!! As I was unwrapping Hudson from the wrap, he all the sudden raised his hand and stretched out :)

King of the Wild Things Maddox Newborn baby boy by Debby Ditta Photography of Tomball, TX

Maddox.  By the time I first met Maddox for his newborn session, he was a month old .  35 Days to be exact.  He was 10 pounds of squishy baby goodness and very rollie pollie.  That makes for a full happy and sleepy baby for the session.  His nursery is "Where the Wild Things Are" theme.  Did he mention he is my newest grand nephew (that makes me sound old...I'm still 30 something :) ) ?

It got really wild at Maddox's newborn session... it was actually quite calm, but all the "wild things" showed up for their cameo appearance.

 Those rolls!

Including parents and siblings is so important and I try to encourage every client to get in the pictures with baby.  It is something I do not charge and extra fee for because it is so important to me.  I know a new mother is not feeling her prettiest, skinniest, most amazing self just days after a baby arrives, but it's such a short time in life where their baby will fit in your arms.  It literally happens just days out of a lifetime.  In a month or so, baby will not fit cradled all snuggly like a newborn. I would love to have images like this of me as a newborn with my Mom and Dad.

Catching a baby smile is one of my favorite things.  It's like a prize for me.
