Sometimes babies look so perfect, they look like a doll.  Maggie is a total doll baby.  I was so ready for her to be here, because I've photographed her family several times before and looooove them.  Maggie has an older brother and sister that are like kid super models.  Like they belong in a Carters ad or something.  Well.... Maggie is here and she is just as model like as her siblings.  Her mother requested blue and I did not argue with her at all.  Blue looks so beautiful on little girls, I'd love to use blue for every girl if the parents would agree with it.  

Lace on lace with pearls.  And those cheeks... and pouty lips... oh my goodness!  What a doll baby!  

I told you they were like models...

Maggie arrived for her newborn session and the lavender was blooming in my front yard.  Lavender is one of my favorite smells on earth (fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and the water smell Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride are also some of my favorite smells)

Milk bubbles do not last long.  I was fortunate to capture this one.

Clara Rose Newborn Session by Debby Ditta Photography of Tomball Texas

Introducing newborn baby girl Clara Rose.  With a name like Rose, I wanted to incorporate pastel floral tones in blush, cream, a little bit of red (she is a December/ Christmas Season baby so red is her color), and a wee bit of yellow into her newborn session.  She is the fifth baby in the family but still loved so much just like the first baby was.  Her older siblings were so well behaved and gentle with her.  They were also such outstanding listeners and a pleasure to have in the studio.

Before every Boutique Newborn Session, I gather from my collection of props, backdrops, prop clothes, wraps and headbands together to plan the session.  I've already consulted with the Mother on the style and colors she likes and has in the home.  When the parents arrive we then go over everything I have pre-planned and together with their style ideas and mine combined, we create the flow of the session.  With my background in studio art and photography... this is my happy place planning for each new baby and the session.  

Another part of being a newborn photographer that makes it such a dream job for me, is the antique and prop hunting.  The collection I have is from over 15 years of finding perfect pieces that a baby would look sweet in.  There are many trips with my sister to Canton weekend and Tomball antique shops with my husband behind each piece.

Ella Blue's One year Cake Smash and Family Session by Tomball TX Photographer Debby Ditta Photography

 Photographing baby Ella Blue over her first year has been such a joy for me.  I originally met her at her Mommy and Daddy's couple/ maternity session.  Her Mommy was absolutely glowing as a pregnant Mamma.  She even wore a little bikini at the session... so cute!  Because Ella is a one year plan baby (BabyBee Collection) I've seen her every few months for a session.  This last one year session, we finished up her year photographing her family outdoors close by and then heading back to the studio for the cake smash part of her session.  The outdoor part of the session was only about 15 minutes and we got so much variety in the images.  I kept it rather short because it was shot in the middle of the summer heat of 90 something degrees. 

 This is what like is like when you have a toddler.  They run the show (in the best way possible).

 I told Jessica... I hope you have room above your fireplace for this one!  Would it be creepy for me to print it huge and put above my fireplace?  Yes?  Ok, I won't :)

 Here is a reminder of how adorable Jessica was as a preggo Mommy and her little bundle of joy Ella Blue at one year old. 

 Ella's birthday party theme was Pink Flamingo Fiesta.  She's a summer baby, so she had a pool party.

Ella... it was so nice to have you as my little client over your first year.  I am looking forward to seeing you soon whenever you have a baby brother or sister to add to the family.
