Everly is a smiley girl and flashed me several of those sweet grins during her session.  She has two big brothers that are just as sweet as her and were so gentle with her.  Before the session, we planned the colors we would use for baby's wraps / headbands / props, etc.  We are using all neutral colors with some plums, dusty green, and a little pink.  Everly looked so pretty in every color we put her in.  And... look at that hair!  She is a doll baby.

Here is how the family looked a couple months ago when Stephanie was expecting and we were at the maternity session.  The boys were so excited to soon meet their baby sister.

In my studio... at some time during every newborn session, baby is photographed on white ❤  It is simple, classic,  and timeless... no matter the current trends in photography... simplicity will never go out of style.  The tiny details that make baby unique will quickly change and their features will be so different in just a few months.  I'm using a macro lens that allows me to focus when I am very close to the baby.  I can capture even the tiniest details.  All pictures can be ordered in black and white or color option.

Everly's nursery is in the colors of plum, dusty olive green, and white.  Before the session, her mother texted me a few images from her room and I came up with this little set for her with all the colors in the baby room.  

Mommy's hand ❤  I had Mom (Stephanie) sit next to Everly for baby safety during this pose and think her hand is so beautiful in this shot.  It also shows proportion on just how little Everly is as a newborn.  Below is the edited version, but I'm including the original in the gallery with it ❤

Baby Story's One year Studio Session by Professional Baby Photographer Debby Ditta of Houston Texas

Baby Story turned the big ONE year old and with the summer heat up in the 100 degrees in Houston... we decided to host his session in the comfort of the Studio (with Air Conditioning).  The beginning of the session was held in the rock garden.  Momma wasn't even planning on having him wear this outfit, but I thought it complemented the colors of the succulent pot and we went for it.  

Back in the studio, we put Story in the blue bowl that he was photographed as a newborn baby.  These days, he's busting out of it.  Only 365 days (abouts) between these images and see how much has changed over baby's first year?  A little side note... the roll of blue measuring tape Story is holding in the newborn image belonged to his Maternal Grandmother. She was quite the crafty lady.  She also made the cream afghan he is laying on.  She has passed on, but we wanted to incorporate her memory with her very special Grandson.

One of my favorite things to offer clients is a "now and then" image of baby from the one year session and revisit the newborn session again.  We can really see how much growth has happened over that one year.  Also, just in case you didn't already know... I'm super sentimental, so this is just my style. 

 Story's cake smash was simple, organic, and natural.  He had a naked cake and we dressed it up with some non-toxic leafs (very important to think about preventing the use of toxic plants).  Only 50% of babies actually like their cake... it's a new texture and taste to them.  But, Story liked it!

Baby Maggie Newborn Session by Debby Ditta of Houston / Tomball Texas Premier Newborn Photographer

Sometimes babies look so perfect, they look like a doll.  Maggie is a total doll baby.  I was so ready for her to be here, because I've photographed her family several times before and looooove them.  Maggie has an older brother and sister that are like kid super models.  Like they belong in a Carters ad or something.  Well.... Maggie is here and she is just as model like as her siblings.  Her mother requested blue and I did not argue with her at all.  Blue looks so beautiful on little girls, I'd love to use blue for every girl if the parents would agree with it.  

Lace on lace with pearls.  And those cheeks... and pouty lips... oh my goodness!  What a doll baby!  

I told you they were like models...

Maggie arrived for her newborn session and the lavender was blooming in my front yard.  Lavender is one of my favorite smells on earth (fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and the water smell Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride are also some of my favorite smells)

Milk bubbles do not last long.  I was fortunate to capture this one.
